Hi! My name is Makileny. I am currently doing my master's in social anthropology at the university of cologne. I also did my Bachelor's in social anthropology and Southasian and Southeast-Asian studies. At this time I realized to work with Tamil Diaspora. The reason for this is that my parents fled from Sri Lanka in the late '80s. Therefore I grew up with two different cultures.
Whenever I visit a place a museum is the first place where I want to go to. My studies and the knowledge which I incorporated during my time at the university changed my opinion about museums. I am more critical of them. I try to reflect on their work. Therefore this project is also important for my personal growth. I am excited to learn about a new perspective.
