Biography

Erica is a cultural anthropologist and filmmaker. Her most recent work brings together semiotic approaches to social difference in contemporary liberal democracies, political and legal anthropology, and critical indigenous studies. From 2009-2014, she worked on issues related to cultural heritage & archaeological practice in North America. In addition to her scholarly work, Erica has worked in university teaching, documentary film and video production, museum consultation, web content development, and academic publishing.

Erica is currently based in Western Massachusetts where she is a PhD Candidate in the Anthropology Department and a qualitative methodologies consultant at the Institute for Social Science Research.
