Biography

I am currently doing a joint PhD at Aarhus University and University of Oslo. My PhD project is titled 'Epidemics and health security: non-communicable disease, toxic exposure and understandings of health and well-being in western Kenya,' and forms part of the Anthropology of Human Security (ANTHUSIA) international training network. In this project I will explore how health and wellbeing are understood and managed in relation to exposure to agricultural pesticides in the Kenyan context by a range of actors, from farmers, their families, policymakers and medical professionals to government officials and NGO workers.
