My thesis focus is on the rehumanisation, exhumation and reburial of colonial remains. i will be specifically focusing on the area of Simons Town Cape Town, where the musuem of the area have played a role in the legalities of the exhumation and reburial processes, the site is contested because of the forced removals that have occured, many of the previous land owners lay claim to the remains even though they may not have genetic links.
