Critical Commentary

DESIGN STATEMENT: I created this image for the following reasons:

- By marrying old and new images of La Plaza, I hope to complicate the notions of "progress," "industrialization," and "modernity."

- This image helps one reimagine space by providing a visualization of the buildings and communities razed due to urban expansion.
